Seguin St. Parry Sound, Ont. Geo Moore.

A dirt road leading up from the Seguin River bridge. A horse drawn cart is heading up to the intersection with some light pedestrian traffic on the north side of Seguin street. A variety of  the latest styles of men’s clothes are offered from Mosleys.

Seguin Street, Parry Sound, Ontario. The Valentine & Sons

A full view of the Bank of Ottawa building and a good look down to Seguin River Bridge. A horse and cart is stationary outside of the Bank, with several well dressed men loitering about the entrance to the bank.

Our card has been postmarked and cancelled in Parry Sound with a 2 cent left facing red stamp of George V.

A most interesting card has been written by Wilfred to WB Judd on Lake Rosseau. Wilfred has dated the card October 8th, 1915.

Wilfred writes;

Dear Kid.

Have landed safely Almost two weeks. Has the dog been jumping in  the fly paper lately? I sure have some studying to do. Won’t see much partridge hunting. In exams I have to get 75% or in stay in an hour every day for a week. They have 2500 men at Nobel now. There are 27 buildings going up in town now and a big iron water tank. Hoping you’ll all have a jolly thanksgiving.

Wilfred.

Wilfred, presumably Wilfred Judd, sends his card to the Juddhaven post office (which almost makes him a local boy) he seems to have moved to Parry Sound to continue his studies. Possibly at the rapidly growing WW1 munitions plant in Nobel that he mentions in his note.
